I'm cleaning house to get some money for a couple projects. First is a list of collage text books. Each is $5.00 (or make a reasonable offer)and in good to nearly new condition. These would be great for anyone who wants to learn astronomy and/or physics but for one reason or other can't make it to collage for the courses, The very reason I originally bought them! Buyer will pay for USPS shipping, unless this is a relatively local delivery. If interested or have questions, email me with the link below.
Equipment
- Telescope- Optical Techniques, Inc. Quantum 100. 100mm diameter objective lens at F14 length. This telescope was donated by the wife of the founder of this company to the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science and auctioned off at their 2009(?) Rochestar-fest event which I am the buyer. It is a rare telescope and could be a "one and only!". The story goes; The original founder of the Questar telescopes created a telescope that was of extreme quality and sold quite a few. He sold the business but continue to develop and sell similar telescopes. this particular telescope he supposedly only made a hand full before going out of business. looking up information on this scope there is only one known to exist and only suspected there are a hand full out there which suggests this quite possibly could be a one of a kind. The only problem with this scope is the hard plastic dew shield, I dropped it and now it has a crack in it. The dew shield is not a part of the optics, it purpose is to help keep the morning dew off the optics. This also comes with a detmar Barlow lens but does not come with the drive unit or tripod. $300.00 or best offer.
The images bellow have my Canon T-ring and dust cap on it. They are not sold with the scope!
If you want other pictures from different angles, or sharper images, or..ect... Just ask!
- Here is some history on the company, its founder, and this telescope.
Company Seven a more in depth history of the company and the telescope he produced. pay special attention to the last line in the "Quantum 100" paragraph...Quote;"We are not sure if any of these telescopes were sold, but at least one was made and this appeared in OTI marketing literature". Again, quite possibly a One Of A Kind!
- Instruction manual for the quantum 100.

Next are some odds and ends. No shipping costs if you pick them up or you are relatively local. Otherwise you pay for USPS shipping.
- AC/DC converter for Canon camera's. Using this will give you a full night of astrophotography without worry of draining the battery. My batteries last a little over an hour each. While using one I'm recharging another, and back and forth... This adapter I bought by mistake, It does not fit my Rebel XT. It fits; Canon 5D, 10D, 20D, D60, D30. And other digital Rebel SLR's, just not the rebel XT. $40.00
NASCAR Monopoly collectors game. Still in the plastic wrap, I.E. Never opened! $15.00----SOLD-
- Watkins Glen Motor Racing Research Library Coin. Taken out of the box and plastic bag simply to take this picture. I.E. it's was bought then stored unopened. This coin was for sale to collect money to get the library started. Don't quote me but I believe that would be 1998(?) $30
- Watkins Glen 50th anniversary patch. This too was bought then stored. The only markings are the dust bunny I accidentally smeared. A quick wash and it'll be clean. This was bought at the same weekend of the coin and I believe the Glen's first race was 1948 which would make this 1998. $5.00
- Jeff Gordon die cast Revel model. "#24 Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo" "Part # 01369024" Box opened but car and contents are still in mint condition. The car says Copy write 1991. The box says 1995. Don't know how much it is worth to collectors but I'm selling it for $20 or best reasonable offer.
- Some old radio equipment but I'll have to go through them. I believe one is a signal generator, I can't remember what the others are. They are from the fifties through the early seventies and all work and are clean. If interested speak up!!
